The First Porsche's Elecric Car in the World
In 1898, more than three decades before Ferdinand Porsche (22 year old) designed his first-ever automobile - an electric powered car officially known as the Egger-Lohner electric vehicle C.2 Phaeton mode. Recently recovered, the P-1 is now on permanent display at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.
Ferdinand Porsche was born on September 3, 1875, in the North Bohemian district of Maffersdorf, now known as Vratislavice. Ferdinand Porsche was expected to become a craftsman like his father, a master tinsmith. Instead, he developed a passion for the field of electricity, and went to Vienna in 1893 to apprentice at an electrical engineering firm. And later he disigned an Electric Car.
